header_2_font=&#8221;|700|||||||&#8221; header_2_line_height=&#8221;1.9em&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.- Out of Bounds (Rule 18)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The boundaries of the course are defined by white lines, stakes, stone walls, and fences bounding the property, as well as by the inside curbs of the asphalt roads surrounding the course.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Internal Out of Bounds (Hole 13): There is an internal out of bounds that affects play on Hole 13 only. The stakes defining this boundary are painted in two colors. When playing any other hole, these stakes are treated as boundary objects (immovable). <strong><em><u>Exception:<\/u><\/em><\/strong> Only while playing Hole 16, these stakes lose their status as boundary objects and are treated as immovable obstructions, and free relief is permitted under Rule 16.1.<\/li>\n<li>A ball that comes to rest beyond the road defined as out of bounds, is out of bounds, even if it comes to rest on another part of the course that is in bounds for the play of other holes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2.- Integral Objects (Rule 2.3)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The following structural elements are defined as integral objects from which free relief is not available; the ball must be played as it lies or relief taken with a penalty:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All stone walls that do not define out of bounds (including those bounding or located within penalty areas).<\/li>\n<li>The construction (building) located on Hole 15.<\/li>\n<li>All pathways that are not artificially surfaced (dirt or natural stone paths).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3.- Special Relief Procedures: Preferred Lies \/ Lift, Clean and Place (Model Local Rule E-3)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When a player&#8217;s ball lies in a part of the general area cut to fairway height or less (fairway and teeing areas of equal or lesser height), the ball may be lifted without penalty and placed in the general area within 20 centimeters of its original spot, not nearer the hole, in accordance with Model Local Rule E-3. The player must mark the spot of the ball before lifting it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.- Cleaning Ball in the Rough (Model Local Rule E-2)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When a player&#8217;s ball lies in the rough (within the general area) and it is obvious that mud is adhering to it (not just surface dirt), the ball may be lifted, cleaned, and replaced on its original spot without penalty.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The player must mark the spot of the ball before lifting it (see Rule 14.1).<\/li>\n<li>The ball must be replaced exactly on its original spot (see Rule 14.2).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Penalty for Breach of this Local Rule: If the player plays the ball from a wrong place or fails to replace the ball correctly, they incur the General Penalty under Rule 14.7a.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5.- Additional Integral Objects in Penalty Areas (Rule 17)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The wooden wall bordering the penalty area on Hole 3, and the stone walls bordering the lakes on Hole 8, are defined as integral objects. The ball must be played as it lies or relief taken under penalty of Rule 17.
